The new Panda Gi departs from previous iterations by using a very soft and strong Gold Weave fabric. Like the original Panda Gi, the Gold Weave version has a great fit and impressive quality. Smooth woven patches across the shoulders give the new Inverted Gear a look that separates it from their other releases. You won't find contrast stitching, but consistent green accents (patches, vents, drawstring, etc.) provide a nice splash of color. Pants are made of 12 oz ripstop cotton with a gold weave gusset for added durability. Inverted Gear again uses their innovative drawstring system, which includes a long and narrow loop that guides the drawstring in the proper direction and angle while preventing it from riding up above the waistline. The stretch cord drawstring is easy to tie and untie, a big step up from the traditional flat drawstring (flat drawstrings have a tendency to absorb moisture, which makes it more difficult to untie after sweating and training).

Interior taping is used generously, lining both the more common cuff/skirt areas as well as the interior seams that are typically left exposed. The folks at Inverted Gear made sure to use very soft taping with non-abrasive edges, so your body won't be irratated by them while rolling or drilling.

The roomy and durable Gi bag that we've come to love is still included with your purchase. If you've never checked one out then you'll be pleasantly surprised by the spacious carry bag, which is converted to a sling bag by running your BJJ belt through the two built-in wide straps.

I believe this gi meets IBJJF standards, but we aren't able to speak for the organization. You can read more here - http://ibjjf.org/uniform/.
