  • Soft twill pants
  • High-quality embroideries
  • Minimal branding
  • Elastic waistband plus external drawstring
  • Triple-stitched stress points
  • Reinforced knees for greater protection and comfort

This is it. The lightest kimono ever produced by Do or Die. They've had this model on the market for adults for years now, and despite being ultra-light... it's constantly held up to the demands of a full-time training regimen. So it's no surprise that they've release a children's model. Kids deserve to stay cool in the stuffy dojo or hot gymnasiums too! If you were a kid again, wouldn't you want the added mobility and comfort that comes from the breathable 350 GSM Pearl Weave and 8 oz. twill cotton? Not to mention the renowned Hyperfly cut.

Like the original adult style, Do or Die has stayed with their minimalist approach toward branding, using only a few tasteful embroideries on the sleeves and small woven labels on the thigh and jacket. The only construction change is the added elastic waistband and external drawstring. Of course, since our children are constantly growing, this addition makes a lot of sense. Rather than outgrowing the size, the accommodating waist design helps you get as much wear as possible. From parents everywhere: Thanks, Do or Die!

M3 shrunk to smaller than an M2

It is the first bad experience I've had with a product that I ordered from Zengu. I had the M3 gi washed upon receipt so that it can already be used (I do this with all new gis / clothes). After that 1 wash, the M3 shrunk to a size smaller than an M2, particularly around the torso. Needless to state, the boy who was supposed to use it no longer could. Other gis that were in the same wash cycle did not shrink as much. I tried to ask for a replacement for the gi. Unfortunately, Zengu's customer service said that the gi has already been washed, they can no longer exchange it. How were we supposed to know that it would shrink that much after only one wash? Anyway, while I am still happy overall with Zengu, this particular experience/transaction is just awful.

Runs HUGE

I ordered the M1 based on the size chart. My son weighs 49 lbs and is about 3'9". After hot washing and hot drying it's enormous. The pants almost fit me and I'm 5'6" 170lbs. The build quality is good but be aware that it runs huge. I'm going to order two sizes down and hope it fits.

Update about the sizing. My son is 3'11" and weight 50lbs and the M00 hot SHRUNK still leaves room for him to grow into it.
