We looked for Jiu Jitsu kimono for our 4.5 y.o. son. They all were too big (2-3 sizes larger) and too expensive (around $100). This Karate kimono was a pleasant surprise. Both the price and the size are exactly what we looked for. It sits very well on our son and it's not too expensive to replace with the next size when time comes. As far as quality is concern, for this age it does not make any different. True, the 100% cotton Jiu Jitsu kimono is softer than this polyester Karate kimono, but this one is much thiner and lighter as it is more strong and durable. Quick to laundry and dry. Takes very little space in the bag. Overall excellent product for its purpose.
