Would this also be a good case for a bokken?

Yes this would work nicely for a bokken as well.

We purchased this for my son's Chinese broad sword. It also holds his arnis stick. His former case ripped and tore, this is perfect!

My 8 year old and I are taking a KumDo class, we have a wooden bokken and a padded sword. This case held both swords pefectly, we left the hand guard on the padded sword and this kept the bokken from sliding out. We also attached our helmets to the loop at the top of the shoulder strap. Only advice is, do not try to jam the padded sword with handguard all the way down... stop at the widest part; this will leave about 3 inches of handle sticking out.

A wonderful purchase
This is a great product for anyone who practices kendo, iado, or any other sword art. It is a durable case and has kept my shinai and bokken very well protected. It is a must-have for serious practicioners and casual trainers alike.
