i just ordered and received a pair of these from karatedepot.com; firstly, karatedepot.com is great; they processed my order quickly and shipped it the same day, and i received it within 3 days using the free shipping method.

these chucks, however, are not what i expected. basically what it is is a hollow plastic tube surrounded in foam connected by nylon. however, the plastic tube on one of the chucks came slightly bent from being shipped in what is essentially a padded envelope. furthermore, the tube is not cut very well, and the end of the tube is jagged, which i didnt notice before swinging them around for a little while. after perhaps 5 minutes of very light swinging, the nylon is already starting to fray. i expect this level of quality from the cheaper 5 dollar chucks, but i figured at 15 bucks a pair, they would be something a little more respectable.

these might be good if your kid wants to swing something around without hurting himself, but this would not be something i would train with. i might give these to my nephew as a toy if he wants them. (i would file down the ends first so he doesnt cut himself)

tl;dr version: karatedepot.com was good, but these chucks are not. i do not recommend these chucks.   

I've used these now for about a month vigorously every day and they still fail to show any signs of wear or tear. Rope is firm. I'm using it against trees lightly. From a 22 year old's perspective they are a nice little investment. I got tired of hurting myself outside of the dojo with my hard heavy plastic crystal ones lol. So try these out, they hold up.  

The nunchukus were exactly as specified and were perfect for my grandsons' classes. The price was very reasonable, especially compared to the local supplier. Thank you also for the prompt shipping.
