The product description reads: "SAME GREAT MEXICAN-STYLE QUALITY, HALF THE PRICE OF REYES" and the clue is in the phrase "MEXICAN-STYLE" as these Mexican-branded products are made in China, not Mexico. Can't complain at the price and I suppose PRO-CHIN wouldn't be a great name for a pair of boxing gloves...

That said, they feel great, seem quite well made and offer a reassuring sound on either heavy bag or mitts. Previously using Everlast training gloves and the ProMex feel like a step up.

I bought the 16oz and my only complaint is that they run small and are a little tight around the thenar part of the hand (the big bit of the palm below the thumb) and so I've been stuffing them with tennis balls between training sessions to try and stretch the leather a little.

That said, a good purchase.
