Of the wood pair and this pair of nunchaku I have bought from karate depot, these rubber ones are my favorite. They are nice and heavy, and are more forgiving on impact than wood ones, so they make for good training, wrist rolling, and non-lethal self defense nunchaku. Great product so far a month after continuous use!  

I got one of these nunchucks specifically to work out and strengthen my wrists. At our dojang, we use double-chucks that are light, and I wanted something that would provide more feedback to my stiff wrists, via the weight and momentum.

This nunchuck does that job well. It is heavier than I remember hardwood chucks being, but the ball bearing swivel works well and smoothly. I like the size and feel, and the feedback (from the weight) is great.

That said, to me these 'chucks are slow... to slow to be a weapon imho. Nice tool for the toolbox, but too slow for demo work and too heavy for more serious usage.  

Great Nunchaku. The handles are hard rubber with grip rings around each which help when you're sweating. Steel chain with ball bearings provide smooth action. (The bearings had tight spots in it when they arrived, but after working them a bit, they are smooth as glass). The real deal! Very pleased.

Love them! Not likely to practice with them because i would hurt myself but they served my purpose perfectly and felt great and looked great at the same time!
