What is the advantage of a thumbless bag glove?

Well, it gives you a degree of usability with your hands in order to grab a drink, timer, etc.. also it will help keep your hands cool to a small degree

What size gloves?

I have small hands but I find that regular size gloves are too small to wear with hand wraps. I guess I should get large?

I prefer a very tight glove when training, but if you don't, then yes, go for a large size.

Yes you could try the larger size. Or possibly you could get a smaller length handwrap so that you can wrap them around your hands less and thus take up less space.
