Ring to Cage make some decent gloves. These have a lot of features and decent padding for the price. Problem is, the area where your fingers go is very short. None of my adult men/women and adult sized teens could use these gloves for that reason. I believe they should be marketed as an in between glove from kids sizes to adult sizes. For the price and the right customer, these gloves are a steal. Permalink

Glove size

Hello, im from finland and boxing gloves here are really expensive, and the sizes arent the same, so i was wondering what size is 16oz?

Hi Jonas - the 16oz refers to the amount of padding you get in the glove. This glove features a high amount of padding for extended training. The size itself is considered 'one size fits most' for adults. If you have small hands you can grab handwraps too, if you have big hands you should search for gloves with a 'large' or 'xl' size.

Generally the ounces reflect the amount of padding in the glove moreso than the size. For these gloves I might recommend the 16 ounce for padding and handwraps too to absorb the extra interior space.

We also have youth specific gloves for you to consider: bx-gl-1307, bx-gl-1306.

I have a couple questions about these gloves. I've noticed the black/red gloves seem to have 2 varieties based on pics I've seen. There's one on which the black looks like plain leather and another where the black looks like carbon fiber. Which do you guys carry? Also, how is the grip bar, wrist support, and fitting on these gloves. I'm currently using Everlast Protex 2 gloves in L/XL since that's all that I could find. I'm 5'8 and around 145 pounds with relatively small hands so I'm sure I could use a smaller glove. I would prefer a stiffer overall feel along with a more snug fit. Will this size regular (12 oz.) fit my needs?

Hi Cordera. The exterior of the glove is entirely leather, no carbon fiber involved. The glove does come ready with a grip bar and the wrist support is above average as you'll notice by the width of the hook and loop strapping.

Great glove at a great price

This is my third pair of Ring to Cage gloves. I keep going back to them because of the reputation and quality. These gloves have nice firm padding that protects the hands during my heavy bag sessions. The wrist support is top notch. I ordered the large size and have a nice snug fit on the hands with wraps on. If you need a good all around set of gloves......give these a shot. You won't be disappointed.

Also would like to give many thanks to boxing depot and the super fast shipping. I chose standard shipping and these gloves were at my door in about 3 days. Awesome!!!!

Just what I was looking for!

Ordered these Monday morning and they were on my doorstep Wed! And that was standard shipping!

I ordered the Large since my gym has a 16oz policy if you are going to Spar. I think they run a little small, which was a nice surprise for me since I have skinny wrists and boney hands.
