I use these gloves for rec/amateur boxing class I take 3x a week. There's minimal contact for the class I take - mostly light sparring and bag work.

Pros:
Foam and leather are good quality
Fit is good

Cons:
My main gripe is the elastic cuff for these gloves. The elastic cuff makes it nearly impossible to put the gloves on yourself. I expected a simple velcro strap like other gloves I've used. Unfortunately, these gloves use a velcro strap which is hidden under an elastic cuff. If you want to custom fight the strap around your wrist, you'll have to do it before putting the glove on and then jamming your hand into the glove or get someone to adjust the strap for you. Very annoying if you tend to take the gloves on and off frequently.

The nylon material inside the glove seems very thin, so it's easy to tear with your fingers especially when doing lots of bag work. Plus the nylon is not breathable, so expect your hands to get really sweaty in a sort time.  

The purchase of these gloves was a "bad news" followed by "good news" story. I had placed an order online for the 18 oz. Top Contender gloves, but they shipped a pair of 16 oz. gloves instead. Due to the fact that my previous gloves were worn to shreds, I used the 16 oz. gloves, but wrote to MMA. They sent the correct pair in the meantime, and when I received the 18 oz. gloves, I returned the 16 oz. ones. These glove took very little break in time and feel fantastic on my hands during workouts. I strongly recommend these gloves.  

Tight fit and a little stiff to be used for sparring. But perfect for bag work.  

My husband is a big guy. I bought these gloves for him along with the 100lb bag and he is so happy! The gloves are a great fit and the price is very comparable to what you'd find in a store. I was extremely impressed with how quickly the order was delivered!  

Took a minute to break these in, but they're pretty good overall. Excellent protection, my hand/wrists are in great shape even after a serious training session.  

These are the only gloves I use in my gym www.kitakitz.com and we always put on a good wrap. We have never had any injuries and my clients like the feel of the gloves. I like the extra support the hook and loop wrist wrap gives the gloves also. A great value. I am placing an order for a couple more pair this week.  

I am a novice boxer. The gloves were comfotable and provided the right weight and padding to learn.  

The leather on these goves is really top quality. It is tough and stiff at first, but once you break them in, its awesome. They have great foam padding and I hardly feel anything when im working on the bag. My sparring partners have good things to say about these gloves too, a couple of them want to try these out as well. they are great gloves.
