I've had this headgear for about 5 years. I love it. A few days ago the front head piece burst and whatever gel was in it leaked out. Im looking for this headgear with the "London" on the front label. There is a like version being sold that looks almost the same but is cheap s***. Any direction towards the purchase of another London version would be greatly appreciated. I highly recommend that kind.

Hi Matt. I think you may have to go right to the source for this inquiry. Lonsdale has set up shop here:
http://www.lonsdale.com/boxing/protection.html
and they be able to track down some remaining units for you.

The description says this headgear has a hook and loop closure in the back. The picture shows laces. Which is it?

Thanks for that catch NK - it's the lace-up back. We'll change the description.

headgear to protect my eyes
Got punched in the eye a few weeks back and got scraped across half the cornea; took 10 days to heal. Looking for headgear that will protect against that (if possible) but doesn't look like Darth Vader. Has anyone tried to Mexican headgear--does it protect the eyes, reduce visibility? Any suggestions?

These have a good chance at protecting you since the padding comes up closely along the cheek bone around the eyes. That being said, the eyes are still technically exposed. Your only other better option for protection is going with a cage, like this one:
bx-hd-420
.

Good alternative for a facebar?
I'm looking for headgear that will provide good nose protection, but do not want to the visibility restriction of a facebar (http://www.boxingdepot.com/pr-hd-425.html). Will this work for what I'm looking for?

The headgear on this page will provide good facial protection, but your nose is still at a bit of risk since there is nothing particularly covering it. I might recommend this headgear with a unobtrusive cage -
bx-hd-420
. Visibility is only obstructed a slight bit.
