I would be very surprised if it didn't last at least a year, and would predict it would last at least 2-3 years. If it only lasts 1 month with regular use you can reach out to us for a refund.

how long does it last?

I saw on other 70 lbs. bags that they only lasted about 1 or 2 months. i was wondering if this one lasted any longer.

Hey Alex. I think you'd have to be using it pretty hard to wear it out that quick. By that I mean, hitting it with hard objects continuously. Regular punches and kicks should not wear it out so fast, especially if you wear gloves and no shoes.

Classless

I'm sure the product is just fine, but the fact that I purchased this here on this site, I expect to get it from this site. Even if they get it elsewhere. This item came shipped directly from WalMart with the invoice FOR BoxingDepot.com

Now I know what they pay, and what I paid.

No class at all. I am very disappointed and turned off by this blatant and lazy business practice.

That doesn't sound right. We work with manufacturers not other retailers. Would you be willing to provide us with more information on what happened? This may be a descrepency we should know about. Also shipped to me from Walmart.com. What's great about my invoice is that it didn't even say boxingdepot on it. It was ordered by some Aaron guy and drop-shipped to me from walmart.com. Nice.

What is going on. Apparently I got ripped off because it was $20 cheaper there.

would this be a good starter heavy bag? I am looking for one for my 8 year old who is about 56 inches tall. But I think the 70lbs might be too much for him.

Hi Mike. I think this bag would be a bit too much for him, especially if he is punching at the bottom of the bag (which tends to get dense after awhile). Our best option is the 60lb bag here - bx-hv-40, although you may have to shop for specific children's bags elsewhere. I definitely recommend picking up a good pair of gloves with plenty of padding no matter what kind of bag you end up with.

Yea this bag would be a nice choice. To utilize the double end feature you'll need to secure a hook in your floor or utilize this kind of device: bx-hv-2109.

How tall is this?

How tall is yhis bag, including the hanger? i want to know if i can use a 7ft, standing, heavybag hanger for this bag.

Hi Shadow. The bag dimensions are 41 x 12 x 12 inches (41 inches long). The chain you can adjust but probably won't need to. You should be fine with a 7ft standing hanger.

some other bags say no shipping outside of United States, but this one only indicates free shipping over $25. can you ship to canada?

Before you have to pay anything you'll be prompted for a shipping address and given shipping options. If there are options available, you're good. If not, you'll see it right away.

hanging the bag

Can I hang this bag from a pull-up bar that is installed in a doorway? I am 5'3" female, 140 pounds competitive athlete with kettlebells. I have researched this and this seems to be a good kit for me in terms of the weight etc. Just wanted to add some variety to my work-outs and who knows where this will lead.

Hi Suzka. Since you're pull up bar can handle your body weight, hanging the bag shouldn't be a problem weight-wise. However, I think it would be difficult to keep it from shifting side to side along the bar. Also, the jumping of the bag may tug and pull at the bar, loosening it from the doorway.

Overall, I think it might be possible, but not ideal.

ok so i am thinking of purchasing this,
1.) how tall is it?

Hi Shajee. The gloves are one-size-fits-most, so that shouldn't cause much of a problem. The actualy oz isn't specified, although it appears to be around 10.

Yes, you'll probably need a ceiling mount from over here: http://www.boxingdepot.com/punchingbag-wall-mounts.html. Your choice will depend on whether you intend to drill into a wood beam or attach it to an ibeam.
