Made of 14 oz, 100% brushed cotton canvas, with a quality finish that gives this top-of-the line uniform a softer hand

The jacket features a 2" lapel and is cut 1" longer than a traditional jacket

An additional layer of material reinforces vents, underarms, and back of shoulders

Stress points along seams of sleeves, lapel, and hems have a multiple lock stitching for added strength

6 rows of stitching on lapel, 8 rows of stitching on hem of pants, jacket and sleeves

Traditional drawstring waist pants with a reinforced gusseted crotch and reinforced vents

Very comfortable jacket, uncomfortable pants

Love the jacket. It is true to size, feels great, and provides excellent crackle and pop when snapped. However, I don't like the pants because they are way too baggy. I will wear the Ironman jacket with KD Elite middle weight pants.

The jacket felt great, but I didn't like the pants. The pants were a little baggy and I didn't like the slits on each side.

This gi is definitely worth the price. It has the heavyweight feel, crispness, and pop, but is completely comfortable. The only negative I can think of is that the black color fades after only a few washings, so it appears older than it is very quickly.

I've noticed that color fade in not just this uniform, but many black uniforms in general. One thing I have done to reduce that is a.)only wash when necessary, and have other gi's in rotation, b.) use black-fabric-specific detergent to try and preserve the color. So far this strategy has worked well for me.

If you want to keep your dark uniforms from fading, before you wash them for the first time, put them in the dryer and place the heat on high, leaving them in there for about 15 minutes. The heat actually "bakes" the color into the fabric and will keep your darks from fading for a long time. A little trick my wife taught me.

Great Gi

Being a big guy (6'4'' 250 lbs.) I wanted a gi top that would be a bit longer than usual. The extra inch of length on the gi top is just what I was looking for. I bought the ironman gi back in January of '06 and loved it from the moment I tried it on. It's super soft, heavy and it has that ''pop'' to it. You guys know what I'm talking about. This is definitely my favorite gi. I've worn it to several tournaments and I love the way it looks, feels, fits, and flows.
I am saving up now to buy another.
