This stunning collaboration piece features original Chris Burns artwork inside and out. The exterior features a few high-quality embroideries and royal blue contrast stitching, while the inside features intricately detailed artwork across a full-length sublimation panel. Using a comfortable mesh lining, Tatami not only adds a beautiful design element to the Thinker, but does so without compromising the breathability or function of the Gi top.
Lesser kimonos may use a heavy sublimated rashguard lining, sewn loosely onto the Gi... But Tatami uses a ventilated mesh material, secured to the Gi in several places so it won't sag or get pulled away from the Gi weave. The application of Chris Burns' illustration is impressively clear, sublimated directly into the fibers of the mesh paneling so it will never fade or peel. And the Gi materials are just as resilient! The Thinker is made from a virtually indestructible 550 GSM Pearl Weave and 12 oz. canvas cotton pants. All of the usual reinforcements and perks of Tatami kimonos are present: vent reinforcements, extended knee reinforcements, tripe-stitched stress points, and a thick cord drawstring. Their multiple loop system now includes an extra-wide outside loop that doubles as a graphic woven patch... something unique and fresh.
