SAGA Combat Systems. The word "saga" means a legendary story of heroic achievment. The acronym stands for Striking and Grappling Arts. At SAGA we look backwards to the real life legendary figures of the arts we teach as inspiration for our teaching. These men such as Helio Gracie, Mas Oyama, and Jigoro Kano were true fighters. In their time each bore no resemblance to the stigmas of weakness or absurdity that many associate with traditional martial arts today. At SAGA we teach a system to address the three ranges of unarmed combat. For striking we teach a full contact style of Karate. For Clinching/Throwing range we teach Judo. For Grappling and ground fighting we teach Brazilian Jiu jitsu. We blend these three arts to have the most powerful combat system possible allowing the strengths of each style to compensate for any weakness or omissions in the others. Despite our willingness to mix martial arts we also respect the uniqueness of each and offer ranking in each style respectively.

Pretty good for the price

Elite Muay Thai Power Shield

Nice pad, solid construction. It will do a good job of absorbing impact, but as someone noted, the straps can't be adjusted, so it is a little loose. Didn't give us much of a problem, alot of our guys have largish forearms anyway, and I don't mind some slack in the strap, but I can see how that might get on someone's nerves. However, it is one of the best prices out there, so its still worth it to me!
