While "simplifying" my life I found an old pair of everlast No. 4306 bag gloves. I am now in my 80's. It has been a long time since I worked a bag. The gloves have a metal rod about 3 1/2" long and about the diameter a little bigger than dime factory sewn into the palm.

Are these type of gloves still around, or do I have something unusual?
