I ordered the M1 based on the size chart. My son weighs 49 lbs and is about 3'9". After hot washing and hot drying it's enormous. The pants almost fit me and I'm 5'6" 170lbs. The build quality is good but be aware that it runs huge. I'm going to order two sizes down and hope it fits.  

Just a heads up ladies, I ordered this for one of the ladies in class. She's around 4'11" maybe 105 lbs. Even after hot drying it to shrink the sleeves were about 2" too long.   

Our kids class pretty much doubled in a very short amount of time. Our head instructor was doing a ton of loads of laundry washing loaner gis. I did him a favor and ordered a few of these. So far every kid has loved it. The ONLY drawback is that the belts that ship with the gis run way too small. If they simply shipped them with the next size up then problem solved. Otherwise this is fantastic gi for the price.  

I bought this gi for my 5 year old son last November. He has been using it twice a week ever since. There is literally NO sign of wear and tear on this gi. It fits him perfectly and is easy on the wallet. I highly highly recommend this gi. As a first gi it won't break the bank. But it is so well built that I would recommend it to any parent.   

Just a heads up. I ordered two gis. An M0 for a 3'4" 4 year old and an M1 for a 3'6" 5 year old. What we received in the mail looked like what was in the picture, however the gis were enormous! The M0 fit a 5'0" 90 lb woman! There is no way this gi was gonna shrink to fit a 3'4" child weighing 35 lbs. We're now working on returning these gis.
