This padded stick can hold up against medium sparring. It could also stand full contact, but wouldn't suggest it in order to prolong the life of the foam/tube. The tube does bend and flex as intended. It can easily go back to its normal shape. Very light and pretty thick. It stings enough so you can call hits. Even getting hit in the face doesn't really hurt because of the shock absorbent foam. Really fun and great for sparring/training/disarms etc.. allows you to get hit and know the consequences of a live stick.
