Just rolled in it for the 1st time today. After a warm wash and 40min in the dryer (it takes a long time to dry) it only shrank a little. Same as my Tatmi Estillo in approximate size. I still own my atama double weave from years ago and this gi is even heavier. What really impressed me was the reinforcements on the sleeves and pants 6-7 rows of stitches. Unlike the double weaves of old, this is is a one piece top with no seam in the back and the bottom is not the weird diamond weave like many judo gis (and my atama). Pants are real thick too. It is hot, heavy and hard to grip. The inside is super soft and will not rub off the extra chest hair you will be growing after wearing this MAN's gi every practice for the next decade. It did have a real strong plastic smell when new that came out after one wash.....but in all reality, the manly musk that double weaves retain will quickly overpower any smell left over from the manufacturing process. Would buy again....but will never need too, because this gi will last.
