This bokken is super light. You might as well spend a little bit more money for a better more durable one.  

This is a fine wooden bokken of good material. However, I would caution anyone from sparring "full speed" or hard against another person. Wood bokken can and will injure or kill. Japanese historians detail several duels with "wooden" sword ending in the death of an opponent. A bamboo or graphite "shinai" is more appropriate and "safer".  

The wooden guard that is supposed to slide down the bokken and separate the handle from the "blade" is too small. It gets stuck about halfway down the "blade"  

The finish comes off pretty easily but it seems to be a sturdy sword. the hand guard is bulky and hideous but i hadnt been planing to use it anyway. If you use the KDC5 code you save 50 cents.   

Very light! This is for show and practice swings only. If you hit something with this it WILL break! Should really get one of the oak ones if you plan on hitting anything with it.  

I honestly think I was sent the wrong product, because from the other reviews and the pictures, this looks like a decent-quality bokken. However, it is very light and thin. The blade tapers down on the sides towards the tip, which makes me think that I could just snap it off in one clean hit. I've owned ninja bokken before, both a lot heftier than this, and they didn't last long enough, so I don't have good expectations for this one.

The fact that the tip is tapered on the sides, and the very tip of the bokken is quite sharp makes me think that this might not be very safe for practice, either.  

This bokken looks good, but after a few hits it gets really beat up.  

This wooden bokken came with my ninja suit and was great. It has a very nice weight and feel to it. My only concern with it is the durability. I was practicing with a friend and he snapped it in half with a very weak hit. I would buy more than one of these if you intend to do any combat training with it.  

Great bokkens I bought three and I spar with my friends they've held up wonderfully! Their also a great price! The swords were worth the wait! the $2.95 shipping was a great deal also!  

The guard did not come with it, and it broke the first 5 minutes I was using it.  

I realy enjoyed this sword. The paint on mine realy didn't chip off.  

This sword helped me progress to 3rd level. It probably also saved me from a bad reputation.  

I purchased one of these about a month ago. After at least 2 dozen full contact duels with my friends the finish is barely coming off the edges! Great quality, but the tsuba stopper is a little loose. A quick fix with some black duck tape and it's looking marvelous.  

This sword aint all that bad. Nice and light, not to mention durable. My only problem is that the paint chipped a little, and the tsuba was a bit loose. But it took a good beating and i thinks that's what matters the most.  

This sword is great but when i got it I found that the rubber piece that holds the tsuba on was a little too big. I fixed it and it stays on just fine.The actual blade is very sturdy and can take a lot of damage. I recommend this sword to anyone who wants a high quality wooden weapon at an affordable price.
