The blade is 26" long and made of 440 stainless steel with a sharpened edge.

The handle is wrapped and measures 9.5" long and has a traditional square tsuba (hand guard).

Includes a sleek, well fitting black scabbard that locks into place.

wondering ??

hi, i was just wondering if there is any sword that is dull but also has a metallic look to it and also with a sheath that i can holster in my belt and can use in katas and demonstrations ??

Hi Steven. Yes, there are swords like that. The important distinction when shopping for swords is between 'iaito' and 'shinken'. Shinken are metal swords that are sharpened. Iaito are metal swords that are dull. I highly recommend getting an iaito for kata and demonstrations.

Sharpened Ninja Swoard

Does this sword have a full tang or does it stop at the handle?

Hi Chris. I've never disassembled this particular piece, but if I had to guess I would say it probably has a rat tail style tang. The price reflects that possibility. I would use this sword more for open air practice than for real cutting.

I assumed from the price that it would not be a full tang - a half tang is good enough. I just want it to not fall apart if I do some air practice with it as I am now learning sword techniques. I do understand that it cuts fruit very well, though??? :-)

You should be fine with air practice. If it doesn't hold up to that you just write to us and we'll get you a refund!

Great sword

This sword is very stable, has great control, very strong, truly stainless and very sharp. It also has a very traditional look. It's a great sword over all.
