The broad reach is a must purchase item (in my opinion, of course). I bought the door gym and loved it but I wanted to do wide grip chins with it. The price for this accessory is a little much, but it really is worth the bucks once you have it. The grips are comfortable and it does not slip (even though, as another reviewer indicated, the bar just rests on top of the door gym posts).  

I bought the Door Gym Broad Reach for my husband about 5 months ago. It is one of the best pieces of fitness equipment he has ever had. The broad reach attachment allows him to do pull-ups with a wide position to his arms, a grip that he wouldn't be able to use otherwise. It allows him to work a different set of muscles than the standard chin-up grip. The door gym is very simple to install, and the broad reach attachment just sits on the door gym without slipping. Definitely a great product.  

This thing is just a bar that lays on top of the door gym grips. It doesn't attach to the door gym in any way. Also, the wide reach isn't much wider than the grips already part of the door gym. Go to a hardware store and buy yourself a piece of metal pipe - save yourself 20 bucks.
