Understand what these are, they are padded, slightly flexible tubes with two handed grips at a very reasonable price. I use them for field games and with new students requiring little to no armor. There are no cross guards or edges, so binding and winding is impossible. However these are awesome for casual or begin students with little padding. It would take some mystical timing or extreme bad luck to get injured with one of these. All the same some eye and ear protection are a good idea. In my experience face shots are unpleasant and surprising but not hurtful.These sword trainers excel at what they were designed for.
