Very nice for the money!!!

Ball Bearing Rubber Nunchucks

I bought these for eventual practice and work with nunchaku for weapons certification. I have freaked my friend out several times taking 'hits' and laughing when she freaks out!!! LOL. They are safe (for most contact) and they are higher quality than I would have expected (even though I am a KD fan!!!)...

Neat lil' gadget...

Ninja Spike Set

The spike set is a cool addition to my weps collection. I like the look and the balance, but I need more practice throwing them... I know from the 1,000,000 mistakes that they are durable, but they dull fast (if you keep dropping them anyway...lol).

Nice!

Red Oak Bo Staff

This bo feels very solid, and heavier than I expected (after playing 'ninja' with a few broomsticks etc.)... It looks durable, and from the practice I have done, it seems solid, and well balanced. Just a warning to other 'practice ninjas' out there, the weight may throw you, but give it a chance...LOL.

Excellent for the price!

Lightweight Black Karate Jacket (7 oz.)

I like these jackets for uniform wear and for costume wear as well... I bought a few for my daughter, my friend, and two of her nieces. The jackets are thin enough to be comfortable for a beginning student, while being durable enough for practice wear.

180" Handwraps - Mexican Style

These work very well, and they do form fit to a point without overstretching and closing off circulation as with an expandable (ace) bandage!! Worth the $$$ as usual from KD!

A Lil' Short...

Handwraps

These are good quality handwraps... but they are a lil' short for me. For a smaller trainee, I would buy again, but they just do not wrap my hand adequately...

10 Levels?
Ten Level Belt Display

Is there any way to get more belt displays? If I have my count right, for both martial arts in my system, to 1st Dan, there are 12 belts. I do not have to display them all, but I want to. Is there a way to get more levels?

A more accurate review...lol.

Rank Belts

I ordered orange, red, green, and black in size 8 (I just started TSD/Hapkido, and I am a pre-planner; so I buy my own uniforms...), and they are true to size. They fit well and the colors are vivid and strong. I recommend these to anyone looking for a nice belt at a great price!

My opinion...

Lightweight Black Karate Jacket (7 oz.)

These jackets seemed to run a lil' small, (and so did the belt... weirdly). I did not try the pants initially, but they fit when I reordered them, and that is a shipping price regret that I can live with. I recommend to all karatekas, judokas, etc, try on at least one ENTIRE uniform before returning... I am 6'6" and 360 lbs, I fit a xl sweatpants, but a 3x shirt. The pants run long, but they fit excellent.

They FIT...LOL

Lightweight Black Karate Pants (7 oz.)

I ordered these as part of the uniform, and since the jacket did not fit, and I did not want to jeopardize my chances of returning them, I never tried them on... I wish I had, I probably could have returned the jackets and kept the pants. They are a lil' long (at 6'6" this is kind of funny...lol), but they are an AWESOME fit otherwise. Going to get them hemmed today!

Rank Belts

These belts are very nice for the money! I am new to the whole karate-ka thing; however, these belts do look flashy against a black uniform and they seem to be accurate to the photos that I do have. I would say I will buy again, and this is a certainty!

Sizing...
Black Lightweight Karate Uniform (7 oz.)

I am 6'6" and I weigh 360 lbs. I measure 56" at the waist, and I normally wear a XXL in street clothes. I am wondering which size will fit best...

Size info...
Black Student Karate Uniform

I am 6'6" and I weigh 360 lbs; however, I carry it well. I measure 56" at the waist, and I wear 2x sizes in sweats, etc. I usually find the size 2x fits well, but is usually short; however, with a gi I do not mind, since shorter pants will work, but I want to ensure that the jacket will fit comfortably. I am wondering if a size 7, or 8 will be appropriate.

Short Tabi Boots

I wear a 15 shoe, and a 14 boot. Is there a way to get/order a larger size? (According to reviews, I am guessing I would need a 16 mens...)

Lightweight Classic White Karate Jacket (7 oz.)

Ok, I am having the worst time figuring out sizes... I am 6'6" and I weigh 360 lbs, but I carry it well. I am larger in the middle. I wear a 2x shirt (they are slightly snug but short), and 2x pants, but I cannot seem to translate this into a proper size gi. I am wondering if a size 8 works; however, the weight is where I get thrown. I also believe a size 7 is a possibility, but I am just plain confused.

Answer to: Are these types of nunchucks even allowed in california
Hide-A-Chuck

Same applies to NY, and MA as well as some other states. In addition, I would not rely on the use of most martial arts weapons for defense, since they are almost always mentioned specifically in the weapon related defense laws of most states and jurusdictions within them. If you plan to carry these as a means of defense, DEFINITELY check with the laws, and consider the possibility of civil litigation (lawsuits) as well...

Answer to: could these be used as self defense or are these mostly personal use if so what are so good combat . . .
Hide-A-Chuck

I was going to mirror okiken 108's sentiment here. The laws regarding weapons of any variety, especially concealed carry come into play here. Not only does each state have specific laws, but some jurisdictions within them have more stringent laws regarding the carry, use, and employment of weapons for offense (especially) or defense. I would say that, in almost all cases, nunchaku would be considered concealed, unless you fancy Bruce Lee (lol) and wear them around your neck in full view. Then you have to worry about the additional litigation from a civil as well as criminal standpoint. Basically, I would not advocate NOT using a weapon for defense, but I would say to do your homework. Be a student of the laws that you wish to use to protect yourself, just as you are a student of the arts that you wish to employ!

You can always use glow in the dark paint on them, but it does help to destroy the entire 'stealth' illusion.

I would probably say that the 'main' objective is to prevent, and if not able, then to hit an opponent, not yourself...lol.

Answer to: Will you guys be getting any belts sized 9-10????
Rank Belts

Cody, I do not know of anyone that sells 'oversize' belts (I am an 11 jacket, and oddly, an 8 pants...lol). I asked my sensei if I was ok with single wrap belts, which you just wrap once instead of twice around... I was approved for it, but I was ok with the size 8 after all. You may want to do something similar, if you wear a 9 or 10, (149-160") then if my math is right, a size 3 should single-wrap.

Answer to: Is there any kind of protective padding I can get with these nunchucks? I know that I will knock myself . . .
Hide-A-Chuck

Tony, you could always buy foam padding for... say... pipes at Home Depot. I would never try to divert business from KD, they have been very generous to me, but to the end of making a sale for them, measure (or research) the diameter, and then you can buy foam from Home Depot for practice. Check in the plumbing aisles.

Comment on: Very Nice, Especially for $5!
Rank Belts

Exactly... My experience is limited, but I did order a uniform (from another supplier sadly, KD does not carry 11, and if they did, I would buy..., and I measure for it in the chest and belly). The belt was very thin and seemed to be of dubious quality. These belts were double the thickness, and the sewing was much better (thank God the belts w/the uniforms were white, since, as fate would have it, I have white duct tape... so I had to fix the ends... I do not see that issue with the stitching here).

Use a Shout color catcher, they will catch most of the dye... I actually tried this when washing colored belts with a black uniform, and it worked... I have not washed the black belt yet however...

Answer to: How long does it take for your supplies to be shipped??
Ninja Spike Set

From my experience, (I am not an employee, just a customer) they have exceeded their shipping time by an average of 3 days... (if they expect it Friday, I get it the previous Tuesday). Like I said, I cannot guarantee it, but they are F A S T!!!

Answer to: Whats the size of the sheath (max circumference)? I'd prefer if it isn't too small for my arms.
Ninja Spike Set

I have larger than average arms (9 1/2 inch wrist) and they do not fit, but they are close... A trick, if they do not quite fit, grab some Velcro from the dollar store, etc and use it to extend the straps. That is what I did and they are fine!

Ninja Shuko Hand Claws (pair)

The actual devices cannot do anything; scale walls, etc. They can be used to help a person gain purchase (grip) onto specific items for which they are designed. As far as illegality, a book can be used as a deadly weapon if someone is 'properly' motivated... it is up to the user;however, they are not specifically designed to be weapons of destruction.

Answer to: if i bought this, but i don't have a rank, is it illegal or something? please respond

The belt itself holds no significance if it is not earned... Most people would not put together a Halloween costume with a white belt. However, I would not wear them for practice or display until they are earned... they will mean more to you!

Actually, I am doing some home study, but I am a preparer...lol. I bought all of my 'first' rank belts here, for display purposes for now (and/or if I decide to be a karate-ka for Halloween). If I need more of the belts, I will certainly be back to KD for them!

Answer to: how many inches or cm is size 8?
Rank Belts

I just ordered the size 8 (on Tuesday) in black, red, orange, and green and they all fit perfectly. I got them on Friday morning... so they do also ship quickly if they are in stock, which most of the belts seem to be in an 8. I measure roughly 50" at the waist area (I have a lower inseam and a little bit of a belly) and they ROCK! I was going to say they measure nearly 140" and they are true to measurement.
