Tatami's popular Nova has been updated for 2015, featuring improved pants material and a fresh facelift. The simple woven shoulder patches and color-matched stitching maintain that clean and modest appearance, just like previous Nova editions.

The 2015 model is built with the reliable 425 GSM High Tech weave and new 10 oz. twill cotton. Like many Tatami BJJ Gis, Nova has a strong rubberized collar, triple-stitched stress points, and double-layer knee reinforcement. This particular collar style allows faster drying and better preserves the natural shape of the jacket. Tatami's trousers feature added drawstring loops for better placement and a round stretch draw-cord for easier tying and untying.

White belt included free.

Yes unfortunately we haven't received a size chart from tatami yet that includes the a2h. When we do I will get it posted up.

Female Size

Hi there,

I have a female student who is 5' and weights 140... So far the sizes listed don't have an exact match. Should I lean closer to height or weight. She has also indicated that she does not want the pants too long, which is my hesitation with basing her gi size on weight. Please advise. Permalink

Good starter uniform

There is a little bit of a range there Gilberto. I recommend using the red "size chart" link above to determine which female size would best fit your needs. You'll notice you can compare the general range of the A1 with the sizes recommended for F gis.

size chart

the size chart is off by 2 sizes. just washing the gi shrinks it a full size. if you dry it it shrinks another size. i am 6'185 so im an A3.it shrunk but I still wore it till it fell apart apx 1 yr. I got an A4 that also shrunk where I am wearing floods top and bottom. I love how the gi feels and the price so Im just going to get an A5 wash it and dry it. Then it will be a perfect fit Permalink

I see that you put up a size chart for the men's gis. What about a similar type of chart for the female Nova sizes? The Tatami Gi Size Calculator sucks and never seems to work.

Great training gi for the price. Lightweight and durable. Great for every day training. Holds up good. Sized loose so it fits guys with broad shoulders/chest well, as do all tatami gi's I have owned. Tatami never disappoints. Permalink

With a little dethreading the shoulder patches can be removed. Unfortunately we do not have a patchless version of this uniform at this time.

For stocky guys this gi top fits good. Pants are a bit long and don't shrink much. Jacket shrunk down perfectly but stretches a bit too much for my liking when it's wet after a good roll. Permalink
