The Sashiko by DOorDIE is a well done kimono that combines elements of American and traditional Japanese culture into one cohesive piece. The navy blue fabric with blue stitching and embroideries in other tones of blue are all a reflection of the more modest Japanese kimono, while the splashes of red (side vents and interior print) add a touch of Americana. Japanese-inspired pattern runs along the interior panels and inner lined waist. In terms of fabrics, this Gi is in line with the typical Hyperfly, utilizing 450 GSM Pearl and 10oz twill.
In additional to typical DOorDIE branding, this piece is also fitted with a three-part embroidery that pays tribute to the three major influences in BJJ. . . Featuring the flags of Japan, Brazil, and the USA. Includes a 4-way stretch fabric for the crotch gusset, which drastically reduces the pressure on what is without a doubt one of the most stressed seams on a pair of BJJ pants (the crotch seams). Knees are reinforced with a double layer of twill. To make tying and untying an easy process, Do or Die uses a stretchy rope drawstring and 6-point loop system.
