93 Brand's new Tau is a clean white Gi, made from 450 GSM Gold Weave and 12 oz brushed cotton. These two fabrics are incredibly soft without sacrificing sturdiness.

White side vents and drawstring loops are stitched with baby blue thread to keep a clean and bright look. All of the graphics are fully embroidered and utilize a minimalist baby blue design. There are 6 cotton loops to keep the stretchy cord drawstring in place. Instead of the commonly used knee padding, 93 Brand extends their knee padding almost to the very bottom. This design ensures that even when you're rolling around and sparring, your knee protection will still cover your knees. Just below the knee padding, there is an embroidery reading: finest. technique. And 93 Brand truly use the finest technique in putting this awesome Gi together.

I have a student who is 6'1 and 290-295. BROAD shoulders. We tried a Tatami nova but the chest is so tight on him. You think and A5 would work, and do you know of a gi that caters to broader chested guys?

Hi Jeremiah. I don't think the Tau A5 would be a good choice. It would be tight to start off and has a tendency to shrink in the wash due to the weave type. I think it would be better to browse our gi types that have A6 available, which you can find here: http://www.zengu.com/BJJ-and-Jiu-Jitsu-Uniforms~2511~cat2113~Size~A6~1.html.

I think the A3 should work and wouldn't shrink beyond usability.

sizing

i'm 5'8 and weigh 150lbs...I have an isami that fits well and the size on it says 4. I would really like on of these gi's but with all the options for sizing I want to be sure I get the right fit...any guidance you can give would be greatly appreciated.
