Boxing Gloves

Who do you think makes the best boxing gloves. I need to get some bang for my buck. I;m not against paying top dollar but it has to be worth it. I want a pair of gloves that will last. I go to the gym almost every day, I do bag work and I spar with a partner.

Leather SafeTech Boxing Gloves

How are these vs the everlast protex 2 or 3? I am looking for a new pair of gloves and I need something that will last.

boxing gloves?
Open-Thumb MMA Gloves

these are listed as boxing gloves? anyone use them for boxing? I kind of think that the open finger design makes them good for mma only.

Great Quality

Professional Speed Bag

I love the Grant stuff. This bag is really high quality, it feels good to hit and has a nice 'bounceback'

worth the money

Reyes Lace Up Training Gloves

I have used a lot of gloves in my career, whether im borrowing them or buying them, I always take note of how good or bad they are because hey, you never know when you;ll need a new pair. These feel flat out fantastic. Every glove with some boxers name on them claim that they were designed by the boxer himself. That's usually bull, and probably is in this case too, but these gloves were designed with boxers in mind. That much is without question.

Fairtex is good stuff

Performance Sparring Gloves

A lot of my frinds use Fairtex gear. they swear by it. I borrowed these the other night. They feel too thin, but when you start working out in them they are really good. Great protection.

good shoes

Hydrolast Lo Boxing Shoes

these shoes offer good ankle and foot support. they are pretty lightweight too, which is good. Some of the guys here use them for MMA or kickboxing, i just use them for boxing. They work well so I recommend them.

king of the bags

Soft Filled Leather Punching Bag

This bag is the best there is. It so perfectly constructed that im not sure it will ever wear out. The leather hide on this thing is super tough and slick, it's as fun to just look at as it is to hit. totally worth the price.

not for me

Face Saver Headgear

My buddy has this headgear and we are the same size so i tried it. I really do not like the face bar. I feel too confined with it. Headgear with cheek protection offers the same level of protection without the lame face bar going across. I dont recommend these, but some people like this style, so try one if you can before you decide to buy.

you just lose water weight

Deluxe EVA Sauna Suit

Sauna suits are just good for making you lose water weight. It's not like you put these on and start dropping pounds and pounds. You will gain water weight back. these suits are no substitute for diet and exercise and they aren't a magic bullet for weight loss.

not what you think

EverGel Wrist Wrap Gloves

A lot of people who have these dont like them, but they also dont know what they are really used for.

These gloves are meant to be used a quick and easy alternative for HAND WRAPS, as in that tape/ace bandage looking thing that you see boxer's on TV wrapping their hands and wrists with before putting them inside of their boxing gloves. They are not replacements for boxing gloves or bag gloves.

They are supposed to be overly tight and overly snug but that is to prevent injury to the small bones in your hand and also from spraining your wrist.

Over time the gloves break in like a baseball glove and become more comfortable and less overly tight.

Remember, these are hand wraps, not boxing gloves, and not bag gloves.

Big but worth it

Full Head Guard

me and a friend tried this out today for a few rounds of sparring. We both really liked it.

PROS:
- Snug fit
- Very good padding
- Good facebar fits just below my nose, and protects it
- Very good visibility
CONS:
- this thing is BIG
- Kind of heavy

overall great for the price. I'm probably going to pick up one of my own.

Built tough

Protex2 Boxing Gloves

Generally, I think Everlast products are ok, but in most cases you pay for the name. The stuff in stores is generally not good quality, and the good stuff costs way too much.

Then I found these.

The Protex2 is probably the best "cheap" glove I have ever used. They feel good on your hands, have a broken-in feel right out of the package, and...if you need it...they just look cool.

this would be the one I would recommend. Everlast overcharges for their products, but they found a great balance with this glove. Just enough good features, and a heck of a good price

really good

Amateur Boxing Headgear With Cheek Protection

I use this one myself. I like it because it provides really good head coverage without blocking the vision or anything. It's also pretty comfortable. It;s nice to not 'feel' like you;re wearing a bulky boxing headgear.

Not a good buy

EverFlex Standing Punching Bag

There are a few of these in my gym. They always break. There just isnt a substitute for real, leather or canvas hanging heavy bags. these things can;t reproduce the feel and the durability of real bags. Yeah, they might be a little more practical but you sacrifice for that.

Answer to: I have been interested in getting a new jump rope and am wondering if anyone has had a positive (or . . .
Beaded Jump Rope

The beads protect the rope and make it last longer. In my opinion they add some weight to the rope giving you a little bit of an extra workout.
