Tatami Nova White Jiu Jitsu Gi
4 reviews
  • 425gsm "hybrid tech" weave jacket (single piece construction)
  • Rubberized canvas collar
  • Triple-stitched seams
  • 10 oz. cotton twill pants
  • Reinforced knee padding
  • Rope drawstring
  • White belt included free

Tatami's popular Nova has been updated for 2015, featuring improved pants material and a fresh facelift. The simple woven shoulder patches and color-matched stitching maintain that clean and modest appearance, just like previous Nova editions.

The 2015 model is built with the reliable 425 GSM High Tech weave and new 10 oz. twill cotton. Like many Tatami BJJ Gis, Nova has a strong rubberized collar, triple-stitched stress points, and double-layer knee reinforcement. This particular collar style allows faster drying and better preserves the natural shape of the jacket. Tatami's trousers feature added drawstring loops for better placement and a round stretch draw-cord for easier tying and untying.

White belt included free.

What size should i get for 6'2 220-230

Hi Sonja. I think your safe bet is an A4, which should allow for some strategic shrinking in the wash. An A3 would be a more form fitting selection.

F2 or F3 restock?

A couple questions:

When do you expect restock of the white F2 or F3?

How does the sizing compare to the Estilo? I purchased a Nova F2 in blue, which after washing is a little short in the sleeves and pants, so I am considering trying the Nova F3 or a comparable size in the Estilo if restock isn't soon. Would the F2 Nova sizing be the same as a Estilo F2? If so, an Estilo F2L may be perfect.

Can either the Nova or Estilo be ordered without the Tatami patches?

Thank you.

Hi Marita. We are about 4 weeks out for restocking the sizes for this particular gi.

This gi comes to us with the patches in place, so you would have to remove them yourself. Sorry for that inconvenience!

If you wanted to switch over to Estilo, I would definitely recommend the F2L. Otherwise, you would probably end up with short sleeves and pant legs again.

The A3 is your safe bet because you'll have a little room to shrink it in the wash. You could probably fit in the A2, although it would be more form fitting and less room for error.

Female and Men Sizes

The gis F sizes and A sizes are the same gi? I need a kimono smaller than A1 but bigger than M4 for two kids but I want to know if there are any diference in the female cut. I saw that the A1 and F4 is almost the same size

Hi Jose. Your right in that the A1 and F4 are similar, except the F4 is cut to fit the female form a little better. It takes some of the width out of the shoulders, and that sort of thing.

If I am selling this gi can I sell it with a patch of mine on it ?
by: Tommy

If you are selling your gi on ebay or craigslist I would just make sure you mention a patch of yours is on it. Buyers may want it off or they may not mind.

Fast delivery

Once more Zengu proved that they know how to keep a customer happy. Just received the gi and it looks better than many expensive ones I have.
The gi has a "clean" look, with a tasteful patches. I'm a 6'4, 220 lbs and the A3 fits perfectly.
Very happy with the choice I made and I'm sure the quality will prove to be a great one. If you are considering this gi, I highly recommend it.

Nice Light Gi

Good light material Gi, nice for everyday use I prefer the slightly heavier Gi's but wanted to try this one, overall I like the quality and the construction.

The size chart/calculator is confusing. There's A2, A3, A4 sizes available; just tell us what height and weight goes with each.

Bought the uniforms I needed elsewhere. Not sure why you guys can't do better on stocking your most popular items and sizes, but it's hurting you. I'd rather do business with you, but I also can't keep dealing with these frequent product stock issues.
